The HB-4816 Hand Brake has a maximum bend capacity of 16 gauge mild steel at up to 48 inches wide. This sheet metal brake is perfect for small width applications (48 inches or smaller) and will offer decades of operation. To ease lifting of the bottom leaf, we have employed a counter weight to ease wear and tear on the operator when bending close to capacity. It is made of an all steel and electro-welded construction that uses heavy duty truss rods and braces to assure long life and less deflection across the apron when bending at the brake's max capacity. The HB-4816 comes standard with a rugged stand that allows for easier operation over a bench mount unit. An apron stop is standard on this model for repeatable bends; this increases productivity and improves accuracy.
